OurFamilyWizard to Outlook
Your OurFamilyWizard calendar, in Outlook.
If your day runs on Outlook, your custody schedule can too. OFWSync turns your OFW schedule into a calendar you subscribe to in Outlook, so pickups and parenting time sit next to your meetings and change when OFW changes.

What shows up in Outlook
- Parenting time All-day events named for whoever has the children overnight, like "With Dana". Or show the exact exchange times instead.
- Handoffs A short "Handoff to …" event at each mid-day exchange, so the pickup time is right there.
- Events Practices, appointments and school events, with their times, locations, notes and reminders.
It's read-only and one-way. We never post, message or change anything in OFW.
Set it up in about five minutes
You only do this once. After that, changes in OFW come through on their own.
- 1 Sign up for OFWSync, then enter your OurFamilyWizard email and password. We check them with OFW and start your first sync, which usually takes a minute or two.
- 2 Choose what comes across in Feed settings: parenting time, handoffs, events, or all three. Name each household and pick how far ahead to sync.
- 3 Open your OFWSync dashboard and choose Outlook.
- 4 Using Outlook.com or a personal Microsoft account? Click Add to Outlook.com, sign in if asked, then click Import.
- 5 Using a work or school account? Copy your feed link, then in Outlook choose Add calendar → Subscribe from web and paste it.
- 6 It shows up as its own calendar, in Outlook on the web, on your computer and on your phone.
How fast changes show up
On Lite, we check OFW once a day; On Plus, we check OFW every hour. Compare plans
Outlook decides when to fetch subscribed calendars, so a change can take a while to appear after we've picked it up from OFW. Your dashboard shows when we last checked.
Your OFW password, handled carefully
OurFamilyWizard has no way to give another app read-only access, so we sign in as you to read your calendar. Your password is encrypted before we store it and used for nothing else, and disconnecting deletes it straight away. How we protect your sign-in
Outlook questions
Something else on your mind? Visit support.
- Does it work with a work or school Outlook account?
- Usually. In Outlook, choose Add calendar → Subscribe from web and paste your feed link. Some organizations turn off calendar subscriptions; if you don't see the option, ask your IT team or add it to a personal calendar instead.
- Will my coworkers see my custody schedule?
- It's a separate calendar, and only you see it unless you share it. Nothing is copied into your main calendar.
- What does it look like in Outlook?
- Parenting time comes across as all-day events named for whoever has the children, such as "With Dana". Handoffs and shared events keep their times, locations and notes.
- Can I edit the events in Outlook?
- Subscribed calendars are read-only. Make the change in OFW and it comes through on the next sync.
Use a different calendar?
Any calendar app that can subscribe to a calendar by link works too.
