Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information OFWSync ("OFWSync", "we", "us") collects when you use ofwsync.com and our calendar feeds (the "Service"), how we use it and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to turn your OurFamilyWizard ("OFW") calendar into a calendar feed, and we don't sell your information.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we receive your name, email address and, if you have one, a profile picture from our sign-in provider.

Your OFW sign-in. To sync your calendar, you give us the email and password for your OFW account. We store them encrypted, along with the temporary access token OFW gives us when we sign in.

Your OFW calendar. We read your OFW calendar and store a copy of its parenting time, handoffs and events, including their titles, dates and times, locations and notes, and the names of the parents or households as they appear in OFW. We store these even if your feed settings leave some of them out; the settings only control what appears in your feed. This can include information about your children and co-parent that is in your OFW calendar. We don't read OFW messages, expenses, journals or other parts of your OFW account.

Feed settings. Your feed's name, timezone, how far ahead to sync, which kinds of entries to include, household labels and when a calendar app last fetched your feed.

Billing information. Payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details. Creem tells us your customer and subscription IDs, which plan you're on, its status and when it renews or ends.

Technical information. When you use the website, we record your IP address, browser user agent and session activity. Our servers also keep logs of requests and errors, including requests from calendar apps for your feed.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

2. How we use it

• To provide the Service: signing in to OFW on your behalf, reading your calendar on your plan's schedule and serving your feed.
• To run your account and any subscription or free trial you have.
• To send you emails about your account, such as when your feed is ready, when OFW stops accepting your sign-in, when a sync keeps failing, and about any trial, payments and plan you have. These are part of the Service and aren't marketing.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and find and fix problems.
• To meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We don't sell or rent your information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use your calendar data for anything other than providing your feed.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run OFWSync, and only what each one needs:

• WorkOS, which handles sign-up and sign-in to OFWSync.
• Creem, which processes payments and manages subscriptions.
• Resend, which delivers our emails.
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers, which store and run the Service.

We also send your OFW sign-in to OurFamilyWizard when we sign in on your behalf. OurFamilyWizard handles that under its own privacy policy. OFWSync is not affiliated with OurFamilyWizard.

When you add your feed to a calendar app, that app's provider (for example Google, Apple or Microsoft) fetches and stores your schedule under its own privacy policy. Anyone you give your feed link to can see it too.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the Service, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

4. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms on the site. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Calendar feeds don't use cookies at all.

5. How long we keep it

• We keep your account information while your account is open.
• When you disconnect OFW, we delete your saved OFW sign-in and synced calendar events straight away.
• When you delete your account, we delete your account, OFW sign-in, calendar events, feed and subscription records. Your feed link stops working.
• Server logs and backups may keep traces of your information for a limited time before they are overwritten.
• Creem keeps payment records as required by tax and accounting law.

6. How we protect it

Your OFW sign-in is encrypted before we store it, and the website and feeds are served over HTTPS. Your feed link is long and random, and you can reset it at any time. Only the people who run OFWSync can access our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but if we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

• Change your name in Settings and your feed options in Feed settings. To change your email address, email us.
• Disconnect OFW at any time to delete your OFW sign-in and synced events.
• Delete your account at any time from Settings.
• Email hello@ofwsync.com to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected or deleted.

Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your personal information. We'll honor them as the law requires and won't treat you differently for using them. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

8. Children

OFWSync is for adults and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Your OFW calendar may include information about your children, such as their names in event titles. We handle it only on your behalf to provide your feed, and you can delete it at any time as described above.

9. Where we process information

OFWSync is based in the United States, and we and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we'll email you before they take effect.
